I watched Julie and Julia yesterday. I thought it was quite a good movie. My favorite scene in the movie was the one in which Julia and her sister were standing in front of a full length mirror, checking themselves out after dressing up for a party, and Julia says, "Pretty good...but not great".
The movie made me remember the good old days when I enjoyed looking up all kinds of recipes and trying new ones out. Back then I had a willing guinea pig who ate everything I concocted, and with an encouraging smile at that. Julia makes these exotic dishes seem so effortless I think I'll make something new this week, maybe some Boeuf-Bourguignon ;)
